The magic of the Karma Kiln is that you can use the same slip...fire essentially the same way...for the same amount of time...and get results you'd never have guessed. 
 
This 5" large diner mug is in that category. The real story here is that it was in a firing where nearly everything got totally doused in soda. Not this one! Amazing. Love how the pinstriping and dimples get a white halo from the porceneous clay. That's the color the entire pot would be without the soda or wood atmosphere, by the way.
