Some may recognize this from Instagram fame a while back. This, like it's sibling jar, is an all-timer. It's been shown at NCECA and at the Fuller Craft and has graced my personal collection for about 5 years. It was wood-salt fired in Michael McCarthy's kiln in Goshen, MA. The iron crystals and salt bleaching on the texture are truly what make this piece special. It also happens to be an example (at least to me) of a piece where I get the texture "right". It's not over done. It's about 12" tall and 10" wide.
